CEPI: Partnerships, vaccines and COVAX
|
This short, socially optimised video, was made for CEPI, The Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations.
A key aim of this video (produced in both wide and square versions) is to highlight how pivotal CEPI's partnership brokering and support has been to the development of the current range of vaccines against COVID-19. It also highlights the central importance of COVAX, a means of distributing such vaccines globally and equitably, so that everyone is safe. |
COVID-19: What next?
|
Made for CEPI, The Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations, this video plays a key role in CEPI's ongoing strategy.
While it had a very fast turnaround – less than one week from initial discussion to sign-off – the process was incredibly smooth. Provided with a clear script and a couple of creative pointers, CEPI's brilliant team then left me to follow my instincts. The result is a succinct, impactful video, highlighting CEPI's brand, drawing on the emotional toll of this pandemic and challenging us to get ready for whatever global health challenge is next. You can see the video in situ, here. |
How African doctors are using video calls to tackle COVID-19
|
This is part of a series of 'lockdown films' for Wellcome. The films aim to highlight the need for global research and funding cooperation to enable humanity to get beyond the COVID-19 pandemic.
Working entirely remotely and guided by me, the footage and interviews are captured by the scientists and delivered online. Once edited, the film is sent to Wellcome and their brilliant Design Team who add graphical flourishes before going live on social platforms. A genuine triumph of collaboration. |
Imagine (Refugee Week 2020)
|
Trust for London approached me during lockdown to discuss how they could make a short video to celebrate several of the organisations they support that are making life better for migrants and refugees. This is the result.
Working collaboratively with the various teams, we made the best of limited time and resources to create something simple yet emotionally powerful. |

The science of The Last of Us
|
If the events of The Last of Us actually happened - what would we do? To find out, I brought together several scientists and a game critic to discuss key themes within the game, as they relate to the spread of severe disease.
This was a fantastic opportunity to bring my loves of gaming snd science together in a way that's stimulating debate across the internet. Picked up by IGN, Kotaku, GamesRadar and more. |
Zika: Why now & what next?
|
A new animation I produced for Wellcome Trust. Aware that everyone was suddenly creating content around the pandemic in early 2016, we wanted to add something new.
In the end, we adopted a broad approach highlighting that the urban, modern lifestyle is a key factor in disease spread. We had to turn this around quickly - from initial idea to upload in 4 weeks. |
